Our Story

Hi, I'm Kirsten Sophia Rasmussen (Kirsten for short) and I'm the founder of The Seasonal Workshop. In order to understand the soul of the company, I think it would be beneficial to understand my background and how I was inspired.

It all started when I was born in 1996 in The Bahamas in Nassau, New Providence to be specific… Joking. We're not going that far back. Though it is beneficial to the story to mention that I am half Danish and moved permanently to Denmark in 2011.

Besides The Bahamas and Denmark, I have lived in Canada and the USA. In both Canada and the USA, the sip and paint concept is quite popular and in high demand. Moving back to Denmark I missed the atmosphere these paint and sip events created. In Denmark, there are so many cafes and bars, but I was missing a place that combined a cozy or as we say in Danish "hyggeligt" place to hang with loved ones over a glass of wine WHILE doing some form of activity. Then a lightbulb went off… and I thought why don't I start my own business where I add more activities based on the season, the month, or a theme.

I thought this would be the perfect activity or opportunity for friends, families, coworkers, etc. to spend quality time. This could be in the form of a date, team-building, celebration, or just simply looking to have a fun time.

At The Seasonal Workshop, everyone is welcome! Customers are offered paint by numbers kits, non-guided sessions and guided sessions where they're allowed to bring their own bottle of wine, unless stated otherwise. No experience is needed, all materials are included and so is the clean-up. Customers are guaranteed a variety of paintings to paint and a wide selection of activities based on each season, month, or a theme.
